Don’t miss Product Presentations at SynthFest UK

New for this year, we have a great line-up of presentations from leading manufacturers and synth YouTuber Mylar Melodies.

BITWIG STUDIO – Workshop @ 11:30am
Digital Classics – A Modern Approach To Phase Synthesis Workshop
Join the Bitwig workshop for an overview of synthesis methods focusing on phase distortion and phase modulation.
Presenter Dave Linnenbank has been a music technologist and educator for 20 years, including teaching at Berklee College of Music.

BUCHLA MUSIC EASEL – Demo @ 2:30pm
Tom Lewis, from UK distributor KMR Audio, will be demonstrating and talking about the Buchla Music Easel: a quirky semi-modular synthesizer that’s rooted firmly in the west coast additive style of synthesis. Tom will be taking you through why it’s such an important and unique piece of synthesizer history and why, even today, there’s nothing else quite like it.
He’ll also be talking about Don Buchla’s unique take on circuit design that formed the West Coast Synthesis Style and the impact it’s made on the instruments we interact with today.

NOVATION // Oscillator Culture – Film @ 1:00pm and 4:00pm
The Story of the Polysynth
This film explores the passions, obsessions and dreams of people who have dedicated part of their lives to this esoteric electronic music machine. Inventors, musicians, and enthusiasts take a moment to reflect on their often complex relationship with the polysynth or many, it’s an all-consuming passion.

Product experts (including YouTuber Mylar Melodies) will be on-hand doing demos and giving presentations on major Moog, Arturia, Genelec, Eventide and Expressive E products. Including:

Moog Grandmother, DFAM, Mother-32
